FTP transfer
This function checks whether a file can be stored on the entered FTP server. The following requirements
are necessary for this function:
•
The FTP server is connected to the network.
•
The FTP server recognizes the user ID (user). The password for this user is stored/authorized on the
file server.
•
The directory where the file should be stored either exists or can be created (user rights for
registered-in user).
After you have entered all data, click the
Test
button in the FTP Transfer section.
The following responses are possible:
•
The FTP test was successful. The file 'FTP_Test.txt' was written to the FTP server '10.6.195.120'
in the directory ''.
The file was written to the root directory.
•
The FTP test was successful. The file 'FTP_Test.txt' was written to the FTP server '10.6.195.120'
in the directory 'tightening_srv'.
The file was written into the indicated directory. If required, a new directory was created for the file.
•
Code: 0x01 FTP server 'server name' unknown
Assignment of "name" to "IP address" is not possible: DNS not available/not indicated. “Computer
name” unknown within the network (i. e. not entered in host table, DNS could not assign the name
to an IP number).
•
Code: 0x02 FTP Server 'server name' cannot be reached
The computer is not connected to the network. The ping to the computer did not respond.
•
Code: 0x04 Connection to FTP server 'server name' could not be made
The computer is available in the network. A connection to the server cannot be established. No FTP
server is installed on the computer or the server has not been booted.
•
Code: 0x08 Wrong access ID for access to FTP server 'server name'
Server login failed. Check the user name and password.
•
Code: 0x20 The path 'directory' could not be created on the FTP server 'server name'
The server does not allow directories to be created. Assign access rights for files and directories.
•
Code 0x40 Error while saving the file 'file name'
The server rejected the file. Overwriting an existing file on the server is forbidden, write authorization
to the server not assigned, or upload not enabled.
•
Code 0x80 Error while transferring file 'file name' to the FTP server 'server name'
An error occurred while transferring the data to the server or a negative data transfer
acknowledgement was received from the server.
•
Code 0x100 Error while closing the connection with FTP server 'server name'
FTP "Quit" or "Bye" failed. Data or control sockets to the server cannot be closed.
