Control information
The control information contains:
•
the start character, which is acknowledged by the communication partner
•
the end ID and a block check sum at the end of every telegram transfer
If the check sum corresponds to the data received, the communication partner acknowledges telegram
receipt with DLE (positive acknowledgement). If there is a negative acknowledgement (NAK), the
telegram will be sent again.
Control information is used for the send, sequence, and reaction telegrams.
Reaction telegram
The reaction telegram is only used with the RK512 protocol. It has a similar structure as the send
telegram, but it does not send any data, but just an error number in the telegram header. The error
numbers in the (sequence) reaction telegram (see Table
) and the
possible causes are described in Table
.
6.3.2
ID code transfer to the tightening system via the 3964R protocol
The ID-code is transferred as a string (ASCII) in a data element with the 3964R or RK512 protocol. In the
compact system, the ID code for the tightening channel (CH0.1) is written to a fixed position in the data
element. In the modular system, the ID-codes for the max 8 parallel applications (FO 1 to FO 8) and the
single tightening channels (CH 0.1 to CH 15.6) are each written to a fixed position in the data elements.
The ID-code of a single-channel tightening (single channel: the tightening channel runs outside of an
application, e.g. hand-held nutrunner) is transferred by the partner controller to the tightening system in
data element no. 2 ("ID code single channel"). Each of the max. 16 card rack fields has its own data
element available. Within the data element, the ID-codes are sorted by slot number.
