Configuring the ToolsNet gateway
Configure the ToolsNet gateway by entering the appropriate data in the.
XMLToolsNetGW.ini
configuration file in the installation target folder. The configuration file contains all
parameters required for operating the ToolsNet gateway. The configuration file can be edited at any time.
However, the resulting changes will not take effect until the ToolsNet service is restarted.
The parameters of the individual sections of the configuration file will be described below. Example entries
can be found in the
XMLToolsNetGW.ini.example
example file which is opened after completed
installation in parallel with the configuration file..
A [STATION n] entry must be created for each tightening system controller.
The maximum number of tightening systems that can be entered is 20.

Section [Global] – global parameters
Parameter
Description
Log Path
Folder to which the logging files of the ToolsNet service are stored.
Logging files are written for error analysis in case tightening results could not be
transmitted to the ToolsNet server.
Log Days
Logging file retention period in days. After this period has elapsed, the logging
files are deleted to save storage space.
Log Level
Scope of logging entries: DEBUG, INFO or ERROR.
File Queue Dir
Folder to which the tightening results are stored before they are sent to the
ToolsNet server.
Max File Queue Size
Maximum number of stored tightening results per tightening system/station. If
this value is reached, the connection to the tightening system is severed.

Port
TCP/IP port for XML communication (default: 4710).
Must the equal to the "XML Protocol" entry of the tightening cell.
Reconnect Block Time Sec
Time in seconds having to elapse after the connection to the tightening system
was severed before a new connection is accepted
(0 = no waiting time).
Log Parse Events
Activation (1) or deactivation (0) of the logging entries of the XML compiler. If
activation is selected, the logging files may become very large.

Number of the ToolsNet system type (default: 3, undefined)
