The laser beam of the barcode scanner can be activated using the ErgoSpin tool button. This way, the
reading procedure of the code is initiated. If the PLC signal
EnScan
is present, the approval for this has
to be present beforehand.
The laser beam is switched off automatically in the following cases:
•
Operation of the start switch
•
Expiration of a configurable timeout (
activation time laser
)
•
Detection of a valid barcode
In this case, a signal sound will be issued as well.
•
Removal of the PLC signal
EnScan
The reading procedure may be repeated as required, at which the last valid barcode is transferred in each
case. If the barcode scanner is selected as active ID-code-source in the ErgoSpin, the read valid barcode
will be transmitted to the control and is then available as ID code for tightening, see

changes to 1 ("High") in doing so. The PLC
-signal
ScanRxID
changes to 0 ("Low") once the ID code has been used by the data output (between
OK
/
NOK
and
CycleCmp
).
ScanRxID
can also be reset by the input signal

controller.
The ID code can only be used by the tightening channel the ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner is operated
at. There is no check for ID codes used multiply.
The controller acts as in the versions prior to V2.100, if
•
the barcode scanner is not activated, or
•
the barcode scanner is activated, but no valid barcode has been detected.
Optional additional module second start switch
All models of the ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner except for the ESM pistol grip nutrunner can be modified
with a second start switch by means of an optional additional module. The second switch is installed
between torque converter and EC motor.
The ErgoSpin with two-hand operation offers protection for working with drives with increased risk of
injury like open flat output drives. The option module prevents reaching into the danger zone during
operation as the ErgoSpin can only be started by pressing both switches.
In the PLC assignment table, the signals
Cw
and
Ccw
must be applied at the hand-held nutrunner.
Due to the second start switch (1), the length of the hand-held nutrunner is increased. All other
dimensions comply with the serial unit.
