Controlling the
tightening system
The tightening system can be controlled by the partner controller, e.g. a PLC, via various field buses (3)
(see Figs.
and
). Suitable interface modules must be inserted into the compact system or
communication unit and configured.

output
Tightening results can be output on a printer in ASCII format, as a 3964R protocol (e.g. to the PLC) (6)
or via Ethernet to a data server (7) (see Figs.
and
ID code
The ID code identifies tightening result sets for further processing in the system and can be read via a
variety of data interfaces (3), (4), or (5) (see Figs.
). The ID code is contained in the various
data output formats.

Process Quality Manager (PQM)
Process Quality Manager (PQM) is a software solution of Bosch Rexroth. It is designed to recognize and
avoid non-conformities and errors in the production process as soon as possible. PQM offers safe and
reliable monitoring and documentation of production processes.
PQM combines the data from the tightening processes and provides them in a screen on the tool display.
Various screens for analysis of tightening results are available to ensure quick reaction to errors in the
production process. If PQM is applied, the HTTP connection can be used to transmit the results output
data of the tightening controller to the PQM.
