Example for hand-held tightening spindles with switch S1
The tightening spindles are stopped by the servo amplifiers and the internal automatic cutouts for the
individual servo amplifiers are opened when the S1 switch is activated. This tightening job abort leads to
an error message in the controller. Restarting is possible after closing the S1 switch and acknowledging
the error message.
We recommend the use of a position switch, e.g. Telemecanique ZCK-M8. Connect the signal "Cw" to
the digital input Cw (clockwise tightening) of the SE352 or to one of the digital inputs FOxCW (Fastening
Operation no. x clockwise) of the KE350 (G IL) communication unit. Inspect the S1 switch at regular
intervals according to the device description.
The solution with separate motor breaker wiring is always preferred. If stricter safety measures must be
followed due to circumstances caused by the system (e.g. special machinery directives), the
emergency-OFF concept must be taken into consideration separately, in conjunction with system
emergency stop.

Design of mains connection
The power connections have been designed according to the requirements for category 3 overvoltage.
Important rules after switching off the device:
In case of single switching, switch the device on again no earlier than after 10 seconds; in case of
multiple switching, no earlier than after 30 seconds (see Fig.
Allow a discharge time of at least 10 seconds (Tightening System 350) or 90 seconds (CS351
compact system) to elapse after switching off the mains before working on mains connections.
Always make sure that connections or terminals are de-energized.

Optimum operation of the tightening system
Observe the specifications on peak power for optimum operation of the tightening system. The peak
power clearly exceeds the thermal rated power and may influence the voltage supply. For this reason,
ensure sufficient cross-sections in the supply cables depending on their length.
