Data volume and expected transfer time for tightening results files
The data quantity per results file is calculated as follows:
The total data quantity is calculated from the application block and the individual channel results.
When the tightening system is booted (reset or power on), a check is run to see whether the data in the
CF350 memory module are consistent. If this is not the case (e.g. because the tightening system was
switched off during writing to the memory module), the memory module is checked (similar to the MS-
DOS
Chkdsk
program) and the transfer of the data not yet stored on the partner controller will be
initiated. The saved files will then be deleted.
Data quantity limits
Each tightening of a single channel or an application results in a file that must be transferred.
Data output after process end (asynchronous):
Up to 50 results files can be written to the mass
storage per minute. Up to 100 results files can be transferred from mass storage via FTP per minute.
Data output before process end (synchronous):
No mass storage is necessary.

The data quantities specified represent the bytes that have actually been used. However, the file actually
occupies at least one complete cluster, even if the file is significantly smaller than the cluster. For the 128
MB CF350 memory module (file system FAT 16, cluster size 2 kB), there is a minimum file size of 2 kB.
With an assumed data quantity of 205 bytes, the transfer time before process end is 0.17 seconds on
average.
