Initial operation of the Ethernet connection
The Tightening System 350 is connected to the Ethernet via the X7E1 interface. The interface is
described further in the operating instructions for the CS351 compact system or the 350 modular
system.
A distinct IP address for every client in the network is necessary in order to set up communication via
Ethernet. This address from the local virtual address space is saved with the help of the operating system.
In the following cases, using the FTP data services requires a CF350 memory module on the
communication unit:

Results output after process end via FTP
•
ID code provision via FTP

Configuring the Ethernet connection
The necessary parameters to communicate via Ethernet are configured via the configuration of the
interface.
To configure the Ethernet interface of the CS351 compact system:

This function calls up the current configuration of a tightening channel.

There will be an IP address conflict if another device on the Ethernet is using the same address. Both
devices are then no longer able to communicate.
The physical connection to Ethernet should take place only after the correct IP address has been
entered.
