Transport and storage
8.2.2
Transportation between two buildings
If the WS290 training system is to be transported from one building to another,
the following is to be observed:
Ensure that the doors and passages are sufficiently wide.
Remove any attachments and device sets not required beforehand.
Do not exceed the max. admissible load-bearing capacity of the rollers
(max. 450 kg total weight).
Tighten the transport lock at the load simulator.
Ensure before transportation that no mineral oil can leak; drain the tank,
if necessary.
Make sure that the main switch of the WS290 training system is switched off;
pull the mains plug, if necessary.
Do not transport any other objects or persons with the WS290 training system.
You should transport the WS290 training system as follows:
Place the WS290 training system on a pallet by using a lift truck.
Secure the WS290 training system by means of belts or plastic straps against
falling; possibly use the original transport box.
Protect the WS290 training system from humidity.
Transport the pallet with the WS290 training system by means of a forklift.
Place the WS290 training system on solid and level ground.
At the allocated location, carefully lift the WS290 training system out of the
transport box and from the pallet by means of a lift truck.
Remove any possible packaging and safeguards, e.g. belts and plastic straps.
Lock the locking devices of the guide rollers.
General
Transportation
CAUTION
Risk of tilting of the WS290 training system! The center of gravity is possibly not
in the middle; depending on the attachment the center of gravity shifts!
Risk of injury during lifting and transportation!
During lifting and transportation, always move the training system carefully
with at least two people to avoid tilting.
Only lift the WS290 training system from the operator side by means of a
lift truck.
Create a corresponding support by means of wood due to the small contact
surface of the substructure.
