3. Important information for
installation of columns
!
The substrate, the foundation and also careful instal-
lation are of the utmost importance. Lifting platform
erection is only permissible and only to be perfor-
med if the stipulated minimum requirements for the
foundations are satisfied at the installation location
(refer to Section 3.2). On installation, attention is
also to be paid to the information given in the fitting
instructions of the relevant connector manufacturer.
3.1
Preparation by the user
The user must have the following work performed befo-
re erecting the platform (refer also to planning folder):

Construction of the foundation following consulta-
tion with Bosch customer service or a service
agent authorized by Bosch.

The surface of the foundations must be smooth
and flat for all lifting platforms. The ground must
comply with the general guidelines for building land
(Eurocode 7, formerly DIN 1054). The ground must
be frost-proof. For erection on floors, checking must
be performed by a structural engineer on a case-to-
case basis.

Routing of the wiring to the installation location.

Routing of the compressed air connection to the
installation location (optional, only if required).

If the lifting platform is to be erected on a floor, the
loadbearing capacity of this must be observed. An
appropriate construction expert is to be consulted.

To stop vehicles colliding with the ceiling, it is ad-
visable to fit an overhead light barrier in low-ceilin-
ged buildings.
3.2
Recommended foundations
!
A prerequisite for proper installation is a flat, frost-
proof, horizontal concrete floor without any cracks
and with a strength class of at least C20/25. The ne-
cessary loadbearing capacity and minimum thickness
depend on the type of foundation.

Verification on a case-to-case basis is required if
the lifting platform is to be anchored on an existing
reinforced concrete floor.
