Playing Patterns
Quick Start
Playing Other Sounds (Switching the Drum Kit)
Even with the same pattern, changing the instruments that make up the pattern can
change the feeling (performance and sound) of the pattern.
The following explains how you can switch the drum kit while a pattern is playing, and
play the same pattern using various instruments.
A “drum kit” is a set of 55 instruments selected from the total of 255 instruments that
the DR-770 has onboard.
The unit provides 64 preset drum kits. Additionally, another 64 user drum kits, which
can be modified anyway you like, are provided.
For details, refer to “Drum Kits and Pad Banks” (p. 41).
