O p eration
B efore operating the windlass be sure that the safety
hook is removed from the anch or ch ain and is cl ear of
the rode as it pays out or is retrieved.
The windlass is protect ed by a 1 0 0 -amp ci rcu it breake r
loca ted on the battery switch panel. If there is a loss of
power to the windlass, ch eck
the “ WIND L AS S ” ci rcu it
breake r. If the breake r is tripped, reset the breake r. If
the breake r co ntinues to trip, have the anch or windlass
system checked by a qualified marine electrician.
O p erating from the H elm
L OWE RING- P ushing the top part of the switch down
will power the anch or windlass D OWN. M ake ce rtain
that the safety lanyard is detach ed from the ch ain and
is cl ear of any moving parts of the anch or windlass.
RAIS ING- P ushing the lower part of the switch will
power the anchor windlass P. nce the anchor and
rode is secure in the P position, the safety lanyard
ca n be re-attach ed to the rode.
O p erating from the Bow
The anch or windlass ca n be operated from the bow with
the use of the windlass remote which is stowed in the
bow locke
r.
se the anchor windlass switch on the helm when
possible. se care when operating the anchor windlass
with the hand-held remote.
K eep hands, feet, hair and loose clothing clear
of moving p arts. Entanglement may cause severe
b odily injury.
