Bot’n Roll ONE A User Assembling Manual
4.2.5. POTENTIOMETERS
A potentometer is a variable resistor, i.e., its value can be adjusted, and this way, one
can control the intensity of the current fowing in a given circuit. In Bot'n Roll ONE A,
potentometers allow adjustment of the obstacles sensor detecton distance, the
contrast and brightness of the LCD display.
The printed circuit board has four 10KΩ potentometers.
Its value is written on the side, as explained on Fig. 28:
Potentometers.
The inscripton
P 103
corresponds to 10 000Ω, i.e., 10 KΩ.
The
IRD1
potentometer regulates the lef obstacle
sensor detecton distance.
The
IRD2
potentometer regulates the right obstacle
sensor detecton distance.
The
BR
potentometer regulates the LCD
display
brightness.
The
CT
potentometer regulates the LCD display contrast.
