Bot’n Roll ONE A User Assembling Manual
4.2.6. COLOURED LEDS
An LED – Light Emitng Diode, consists of a PN juncton of a
semiconductor material and two terminals, the anode (A, positve
terminal) and cathode (K, negatve terminal).
The colour of the light emitted by the LED depends on the
semiconductor material.
Like the diode, the LED has polarity. The fat spot identfes the
cathode (-) and is associated with the shorter leg.
Warning: Never look directly to the light emited by an LED. At a
short distance, the light is strong enough to injure the retna and
the damage is permanent!
The Light Emitng diodes (LED’s) indicate the status of your
Bot’n Roll ONE A.
The green LED
ON
indicates that the robot powered.
The yellow LED’s are for
“debugging”
and are controlled by
your program.
The red LED's are associated to the obstacles detecton
circuit.
Place the green LED where
ON
is indicated in
the PCB
.
Place the yellow LED's on
L
and
LED
.
Place the red LED’s on
IRS1
and
IRS2.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not forget that the LED’s have polarity!
You must insert the longest leg of each
LED on the “
+
” indicaton on the board.
