Bot’n Roll ONE A User Assembling Manual
Possible cause / Inspecton
Soluton
The battery is not properly inserted on
the connector.
Insert the battery correctly and check that the connector
tab is latched.
The battery wires are not properly
connected to the Bot’n Roll ONE A
printed circuit board.
Check whether the wires are securely fastened to the
"
Bat
" connector and perform a contnuity test with a
multmeter.
The fuse is not inserted in the circuit.
Insert the fuse as indicated on secton 3.2.17 of this
manual.
The fuse blew.
Most likely, there is a short circuit on the board. Check
solders, identfy and remove the short circuit before
insertng a new fuse
.
The fuse is not blown but the green LED
ON
does not light up or the voltages are
not all present on the Arduino connector.
In this case, there might stll be a short circuit but the
electric current is not enough to blow the fuse. Check the
temperature of the voltage regulators
7805
and
LD33
.
One or both voltage regulators are too
hot.
There is great probability of a short circuit. Check solders,
identfy and remove the short circuit. There is stll a small
chance of a component being damaged.
The voltage regulators do not warm up,
the
ON
LED does not light up or the
power connector voltages of the Arduino
are not present.
It is likely that there are bad solders and contact between
the components and the board is faulty. Identfy cold
solders, in which the solder wire does not shine and
apply the soldering iron again untl you see the solder
melt completely. Add more solder wire if necessary.
The voltage regulators did not warm up,
the
Power
connector voltages are
present but the Power
ON
LED does not
light.
The Arduino connector’s voltage are
present but the
ON
LED does not light
up.
You should confrm that the LED
ON
is soldered
according to the polarity, where the + corresponds to the
longest leg. Check the polarity of the
ON
LED with a
multmeter.
Afer checking all the above possibilites,
the problem stll exists.
