The crowd gate starts at the rearmost position with the fence up. The first group of cows passes through the crowd
gate into the holding pen. When the last cow has entered the holding pen, the fence is turned downwards behind
the cows. To leave the holding pen, the group of cows has to enter the milking parlor.
The crowd gate is controlled by an employee with a clear view of the waiting area. The crowd gate is run towards
the milking parlor. The size of the holding pen decreases and the rearmost cows will be forced towards the milk-
ing parlor. This movement provides room behind the crowd gate for the next group of cows to enter the holding
pen. In this way the fence is keeping the two groups separated. When the last cow from the first group has entered
the milking parlor, the fence is turned upwards. The crowd gate runs back to the start position. The fence is turned
downwards behind the second group of cows and the cycle is repeated.
Optional manure scraper
After the last group of cows has entered the milking parlor, an employee runs the crowd gate, with the fence
down, back to the rearmost position. The assembled scraper removes the manure to the rear position and the
holding pen is cleaned up.

and one at the entrance of the holding pen. These controls are identical and contain the following six pushbuttons:
