ROV battery – charging and discharging
This section explains how to charge your ROV battery using the equipment
supplied in your accessories box.
Battery charging safety information
1.
Only use cables and chargers supplied by Boxfish.
2.
Ensure the ROV is powered off before charging the battery.
3.
Only use the battery charging equipment in a well-ventilated area to allow
heat to dissipate during charging.
4.
Do not leave the charging equipment unattended when charging.
5.
Do not connect the battery to the charger with reversed polarity. Always
connect positive to positive and negative to negative when charging. There
are coloured cables/ports on the ROV and charger to guide you.
6.
When charging the ROV battery, the battery charge ports on the ROV should
be the last thing you connect, and the first thing you disconnect.
7.
Do not bridge the battery charge ports on the ROV with a conductive object.
8.
Do not place the battery charger, power supply or ROV battery on a
flammable surface or near a combustible material while in use.
9.
Do not charge or discharge on carpet, a cluttered workbench, paper, plastic,
vinyl, leather or wood or inside an automobile.
10.
Never block the air intake holes of the battery charger, and never use in a
refrigerated or high-temperature environment. If used in such an
environment, the internal temperature protection may result in abnormal
charging/discharging that could be dangerous.
11.
Do not allow water, moisture, metal wires or other conductive material to
enter the battery charger or power supply case.
