MAINTENANCE BY USERS WITH LIMITED

5.1
Daily
5.1.1
General
Obviously, the machine and the accessories must
be carefully kept clean. Additionally, it should be
checked daily whether there is still enough coffee
in the ingredients container (26.) and whether the
filter paper (28.) is sufficient.
TIP
– Use the brush (18.) at the inside of the door
(3.) to clean the places of the machine that
are difficult to reach.

Take action if the descaler signal appears in
the display (fig.19 ).
5.1.2
Emptying drip–tray and
litter bin
WARNING
n
Before opening the door remove
first
the
drip–tray. This is placed loosely and is
not
supported when the door is opened.
D
Remove the drip–tray.
D
Open the door (3.) with the supplied key.
D
Tear the filter paper (28.) off carefully, just
above the litter bin (23.).
D
Remove the litter bin from the machine and
throw away the finished filter paper with the
coffee residue. The waste is not harmful to the
environment.
D
Rinse the litter bin with warm water.
D
Clear the bottom of the machine with a moist
cloth.
D
Put the litter bin back into the machine.
D
Press key (19.1) to reset the ’litter bin full’
counter to zero.
D
Close the door (3.) with the key and place the
drip–tray back in front of the machine again.
5.1.3
Checking the supply in
the ingredients container
D
Open the door (3.) with the supplied key.
D
Lift up the cover (1.).
D
Check the contents of the ingredients
container.
Filling up:
D
Lift up the holder (27.) in front of the filter
paper.
D
Lift the ingredients container (26.) a bit
slantingly backwards out of the machine.
D
Remove the cover (26.1).
D
Check whether the coffee has not congealed. If
this is the case, clean the ingredients container
(§5.2.3.2).
D
Fill the ingredients container with Freshbrew
grind.
D
Press the cover on the container and place this
back into the machine. Make sure that the
drive clutch (24.6) at the back side of the
container is slid over the drive shaft in the back
wall and that the fixing cam (24.4) at the
bottom falls into the notch of the sheet–metal
work.
D
Lower the holder (27.) for the filter paper again
and make sure that the filter paper runs tightly
along the wall.
TIP
– The ingredients container can also be filled
without taking it out of the machine. Make
sure then that no Freshbrew grind is spilled.
