4. Installing the BinoViewer
1. Remove 1.25" Eyepiece holder caps (1) and 1.25” Barrel cap (9) before getting
started to use the BinoViewer.
2. Mounting the BinoViewer on a telescope*
2.1 Cassegrain or Refractor telescope*
Adapt a no-inverting diagonal, like penta or half-penta prism diagonal*, to
the focuser your telescope. Then insert 1.25” barrel (8) of the BinoViewer to
the prism diagonal.
The image would be erected after adapting the eyepieces. You may use a
mirror or roof prism diagonal, but the image would be upside down and it
may be laterally inverted.

2.2 Newtonian Reflector telescope*
The BinoViewer has an parfocal optical design.
Insert an eyepiece to the focuser/extension tube of your Newtonian tele-
scope*.
Turn the focus wheel of your telescope* to get a clear and sharp image.
Remove the eyepiece and insert the 1.25" barrel (8) of the BinoViewer to
the focuser/extension tube of the Newtonian telesccpe* directly. The image
would be erected after adapting the eyepieces*.
5. Inserting eyepieces*
(Fig. 2a)
1. Insert 2 pieces of the same eyepiece* to the end of the right and left eyepiece
holder (3/5).
2. Turn the eyepiece* twist locks (2) to tighten the eyepieces.
Important:
Make sure the eyepieces* are firmly fixed. If the eyepieces are not firm-
ly fixed, they may slip out of the eyepiece holders during observation.
6. Focusing
1. Look through the left eyepiece* with the left eye.
Turn the focus wheel of your telescope* to get a clear and sharp image.
2. Look through the right eyepiece* with the right eye.
Check whether the image you see is clear and sharp. If so, go ahead with chapter 7.
If the image is fuzzy, you may need to to adjust the focus by turning the diopter
focusing ring (6) until the right image becomes clear and sharp.
Note:
The diopter focusing ring is marked with + ◄ ► - scale. This allows for an
stepless diopter adjustment.
