USING YOUR KETTLE
1 With the kettle switched off (ON/
OFF switch in the UP position),
plug the power base into a
suitable power outlet.
2 Remove the kettle from the power
base before filling with water. Do
not fill through the spout.
3 Open the lid by pressing the lid
release button and fill through the
top, observing the capacity
markings on the kettle body.
4 Fill the kettle with no less than
the minimum amount of water
and no more than the maximum
capacity.

WITH THE KETTLE
POSITIONED ON ITS POWER
BASE.
5 Push the lid closed and then
switch the kettle on by
depressing the ON/OFF switch.
Be careful to close the lid
correctly to ensure optimum
operation.
When the kettle is switched on,
the ON/OFF switch and the body
illuminates.
6 When the water reaches boiling
point, the kettle turns off
automatically.
Due to the clear nature of the kettle
it will be possible to see the water
boiling. This kettle is designed to
turn off automatically at boiling
point. (100°C). It may be possible to
see the water boiling from around
95°C, and it may give the impression
that the kettle has been boiling for to
long.
7 You may also switch the kettle off
manually at any time, by gently
lifting the bottom of the ON/OFF
switch upwards.
WARNING: If this product is
filled above the max. level,
hot water may be ejected.
Energy Saving Hints and Tips
A Breville kettle, if used correctly, is
a very energy efficient device. Why
not try some of these energy saving
tips?
• Only boil the water you need.
Overfilling your kettle by one cup
is the equivalent to using an
energy saving light bulb for one
hour!
• It is not always necessary to re-
boil your kettle. For example, one
litre of water will still be at 90°C
after five minutes - the perfect
temperature for a cup of coffee.
