SWEET PIES
QUICK CHRISTMAS FRUIT PIES
Makes approximately 8 pies
INGREdIENTS
150g dried dates, finely chopped
¼ cup brandy
Zest of an orange
2 x 410g jar fruit mince
2 sheets short crust pastry, thawed
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
METHOd
1.
Combine dates, brandy and orange zest
and soak for 20 minutes. Drain dates
and stir into fruit mince.
2.
Preheat the pie maker until the ‘Ready’
light illuminates.
3.
Prepare pastry bases and tops.
Use
L
cup of filling per pie.
4.
Close lid and cook for 6-9 minutes or
until pastry is golden brown.
5.
Remove the pies with a plastic heat
proof spatula and cool slightly.
