1.
INTRODUCTION
The Breville Toast & Melt toaster is provided for cooking or
reheating food in the staff kitchen.
2.
WARNINGS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Safety Precautions
•
Do not place sandwich press near edge of bench
during operation. Ensure surface is clean and dry.
•
Do not place sandwich press on or near a hot cooktop
or where it could touch a heated oven.
•
Provide adequate space above and on all sides for air
circulation.
•
Do not place the sandwich press on any surface that
may be affected by heat.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles to lift and
open the top plate.
•
Take care when using the adjustable grilling height
control.
•
Do not leave the sandwich press unattended
.
•
Do not place anything on top of the sandwich press
when the lid is closed.
•
Always switch the sandwich press off at the safety
switch provided.
•
Allow to cool before cleaning.
•
Do not use harsh abrasives or caustic cleaners when
cleaning.
•
Do not let power cord hang over edge of bench or
touch hot surfaces.
•
Do not immerse in water.
•
Do not use if power cord or plug appear to be
damaged.
3.
OPERATION
3.1
Start Up
Turn power on. Red POWER light will illuminate.
Allow the sandwich press to pre-heat with the top cooking
plate in the closed position until the green READY light
illuminates.
3.2
During Operation
Place the sandwich onto the bottom cooking plate,
towards the rear.
Close the top cooking plate so that it presses evenly down
on the sandwich.
Allow 5-8 minutes, depending on the type of bread and
filling used.
When cooked, use the handle to open the press and raise
the top cooking plate.
Remove sandwich with the help of a plastic or wooden
spatula. NEVER use metal tongs or a knife

Shut Down
Always switch the sandwich press off at the power outlet ,
then uplug the power cord to allow to cool.
4.
MAINTENANCE
Switch off power before cleaning and allow to cool.
When cool enough to touch (tepid), wipe spills with soft
cloth.
If cold, reheat for 1-2 minutes then brush with a little oil.
Allow to stand for five minutes then wipe with damp cloth.
Do not use abrasives

professional advice.
