Installing the climbing holds—
Route Seng!
Placing the climbing holds onto your Treadwall is called route se3ng, and the individual climbs you
set up are called routes. We have route guides on our website at brewerfitness.com/routese3ng that
you can download, create, or share with other users.
The standard set of Treadwall climbing holds comes with 40 holds. There are 13 easy green holds, 14
orange medium difficulty holds, and 13 red holds for the advanced climbers.
One of the best tac cs for route se3ng on the Treadwall is to pick one juggy two handed star ng
hold and then create a number of boulder problems that also use the start hold for the finish. Users
can then link boulder problems together to create routes of varying length and difficulty.
Similar to se3ng for circuit bouldering, you can also mark a longer route with tape, numbering the
holds along the way to create a unique long routes. Usually in this set up you won’t use tracking for
foot holds. This also makes for a great li7le compe on and mo va on set up since you can always
make the route longer or harder.
Climbing Hold Rules
There are 2 important rules to remember
when purchasing and a7aching holds for
your Treadwall.
