BUILDWORKER dealer in the event
of uncertainty,
- do not exceed the maximum current
specified for each outlet socket.
- Protection against electrocution risks
depends on the circuit breakers specially
provided for the generating set.
Consequently, if these must be replaced, it
must be by a circuit breaker with identical
electrical characteristics.
- Due to the high mechanical stresses, only
use strong flexible cables, with rubber sheath,
complying with CEI 245-4, or equivalent
cables.
- If additional lines or mobile distribution
networks are used, the total length of the lines
should not exceed 60 m for a 1.5 mm² cross-
section or 100 m for a 2.5 mm² cross-section
- Pull the automatic return starter handle
gently until resistance is felt, then pull sharply.
This precaution is necessary to reduce the
risk of injury that could result from an abrupt
change in engine rotation.
PRECAUTION:
• Do not let the starter handle fly back
against the engine. Return it slowly to
avoid damaging the starter.
- Never start the generating set with
equipment connected to the outlet sockets,
this could damage them.
- The generating set must not be loaded up to
its nominal power if the normal cooling
conditions are not complied with (atmospheric
pressure 100 kPa [1 bar]). When used in
unfavourable conditions, take care to reduce
the power demand.
Example 28 A* (* limited to x A by the circuit
breaker).
HIGH ALTITUDE OPERATION
At altitude, the carburettor air/petrol mixture
becomes richer, as a result performance
drops and fuel consumption increases.
If the generating set is used at an altitude of
more than 1,800 metres above sea level, a
smaller diameter nozzle should be installed in
the carburettor and the richness screw
adjusted. These modifications must be done
by your BUILDWORKER dealer.
However, despite a correctly adjusted fuel
supply, the engine power reduces by 3.5%
per 300 metre altitude step.
PRECAUTION:
• The performance of the generating set is
also affected by use at a lower altitude
than that for which the carburettor supply
has been set; due to an excessively weak
air/petrol mixture, the engine heats and
can experience serious damage.
- Before any maintenance work, check that
accidental starting is not possible.
