ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
Upon opening check to ensure that all parts are available and that the appliance, cord and plug are not
damaged.
Connect to a suitable power supply, corresponding to that of the appliance, 230-240~V a.c. 50 Hz.
Measure the rice using the plastic measuring cup. One cup of uncooked rice will make about 3 cups of cooked
rice.
Wash rice 4 to 5 times with fresh water until water becomes clear. Be sure to wash in separate bowl or pan.
Do not use the rice cooker pan for this purpose.
Place washed rice in non-stick inner pan and add water. Markings inside pan indicate required amount of
water. Example: If you have used two measures of rice, add water to line marked 2, and so forth.
Place the non-stick pan inside the cooker (outside of pan should be clean and dry). Do not force. Turn slightly
to right and left to be sure it is seated vertically, directly on the heating plate. Cover with lid.
Plug in power cord and depress cook switch completely. Pilot light will turn on. When rice is cooked, the “on”
light will switch off and the keep “warm” switch will be automatically activated.
If you do not want heat preservation, simply unplug the cord after switching off the appliance at the wall
socket.
Keep the lid on for at least 15 minutes allowing the rice to be steamed fluffy by the remaining heat.
The system is designed to produce uniform and perfect cooking. However you can prepare rice to your taste
adding more or less water.
You can decrease cooking by returning the cook switch to its original position before it returns automatically
or increase it, by depressing it again after automatic cycle is complete.
The leftovers can be served later without losing flavour if you follow these instructions:
Left over rice should be removed from the aluminium pan and kept in the refrigerator until ready to be served.
NEVER use the non-stick aluminium pan to store leftovers in the refrigerator.
