PROBLEM
SOLUTION(S)
Does not heat
Verify de-icer is connected to proper voltage.
Check to see if there is a resistance reading (not
an open circuit) in the de-icer using an ohm
meter.
Increase the de-icers temperature set-point to
increase the difference between the ambient
temperature and the de-icer’s setting.
Circuit breaker is tripping
Validate that the circuit breaker is capable of
handling the amp requirement of de-icer.
Examine de-icer tape and cord for any damage.
