Removal of aileron control bell crank in the wing
Type of maintenance: heavy
Authorization to perform:
LSA mechanic or A&P mechanic (Airframe and Power plant)
Tools needed:
wrench size 7/16 in
screwdriver
The bell crank is located on the bracket in the position of the main spar next to the rear rib
No. 9.
Disassembly is identical for the left and the right wing (see Fig. 6-11).
Remove the cover (1) from access hole on the lower side of the wing.
Remove the rods (3) and (4) from the bell crank arm
– unscrew the nuts and remove
the bolts (5) and (6).
Remove the bell crank (7) from the wing
– unscrew the nut and remove the bolt (8).
