16.0 Iceberg Cooler Service
Pre Season Maintenance
The service to a Iceberg requires access to the home to check the performance of the unit
through the duct system and the function of the wall control. Service work performed without
access cannot be responsible for the system operation, only the Coolers function.
General checks
Check and the ductwork connections onto the fan assembly.
Check the drain discharge points is appropriate for the installation - rectify or advised owner.
(Ensure both evaporator and the safety tray pipes are clear).
Check if the tank and internal surfaces require cleaning and clean as required using a
Commercial Grade Vinegar Wash
through the evaporator unit.
Check if the inlet mesh requires dusting or vacuuming and remove any obstruction as required.
Water Inlet Solenoid
Check the Water Inlet Solenoid and water supply hose including the Aquastop has filters fitted
and are clean.
Check the water supply hose and clamps are in good condition.
Check the Water Inlet Solenoid opens in the normal operation sequence and closes within 5
seconds of the Main Control Module turning OFF the power supply.
Check the water pressure is sufficient to fill the tank within the 4 minute FillTime.
Check the pump operation commences at the water contact point of the Common and Low
Water Level Sensors.
Check the Water Sensor probes for coating build up and clean as required.
Check the water Inlet Solenoid closes at the contact of water at the High Level Water Sensor.
Check the water doesn't overflow out the Drain tube before the water is sensed at the High
Level Water Sensor.
Fan Motor
Check the fan motor rotates freely and that the motor bearings are not worn.
Check the fan motor varies through the entire range.
Check the Voltage at the fan power modules on maximum speed at 48Volts DC
