INSTALLATION MANUAL – BLB Series
Equipment Lock Boxes and Wall Mount Brackets
WARNING: Before beginning installation of this product, carefully review the safeguards and
precautions found on page 2 of this manual.
Unpacking
Unpack carefully. This is electromechanical equipment
and should be handled with care. If an item appears to
have been damaged in shipment, replace it properly in
its carton and notify the shipper. If any items are
missing, notify Broadsight Systems, Inc. The shipping
carton is the safest container in which the unit may be
transported. Save it for possible future use.
Service
If the unit ever needs repair service, the customer
should contact Broadsight Systems, Inc. for a return
materials authorization (RMA) and shipping instructions.
Care and Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance to keep the unit dust free.
Vacuum fan as needed while unit is unplugged.

Description
Equipment lock boxes are rugged steel enclosures that
offer added protection to valuable equipment by
allowing it to be secured in place and locked with a key.
The BLB Series lock boxes are compatible with a wide
range of devices including DVRs, NVRs, Storage
Devices, and Networking Equipment.
Hardware Kit
2 x DVR brackets and screws
2 x Keys
Tools Required
•
#2 Cross recessed screwdriver (Phillips)
Optional:
•
Screws and Anchors (customer supplied,
appropriate for mounting surface to be used).
Note: four (4) 3/8” diameter holes are provided in
the base to fix the lock box to a surface.

Drill and bit (select appropriate bit size depending
on fasteners used.
Certification
Installation should be performed by a licensed
professional and conform to the National Electrical Code
(NEC) and any applicable local codes.
Installation – BLB Series Lock Box
Refer to Figure 1 for Installation Overview
1. Choose desired location for lock box installation.
Verify mounting structure and surface is capable of
supporting the DVR Box and no obstacle or
interference is present from existing installed
devices or wiring.
2. Open front panel by turning a key from the
hardware kit in the cam lock.
3. Remove top cover, use screwdriver to remove two
screws on each side of the top cover panel. Slide
back and lift. Note: The cover is also doweled for
alignment and security.
4. Fix bottom panel of lock box to mounting surface,
if desired.
Note: This is recommended for the most secure
installation. Optional wall brackets are available.
5. Install device in lock box.
Optional – brackets are
provided that are compatible with CBC DVRs.
