A-12 IRAS-24A T1/ISDN Modem Card Installation and Reference Guide
Cabling from the CSU to the Wall Jack
Many CSU manufacturers do not supply the cable to connect
the CSU to the wall jack or directly to the demarcation point.
If no cable is supplied or the one provided is too short, you
must purchase or make a new cable (refer to the CSU manual
to determine the cable requirements).
NOTE:
Some CSUs allow you to set the framing and line coding
used on the PRI-ISDN line. To communicate with the CO,
the settings you choose for the CSU must match the values
used by the CO switch and IRAS-24A card. Refer to the
manual supplied with the CSU for instructions on setting
framing and line coding.
Circuit ID
When your service is connected, the service provider will
assign a circuit ID to your line. This ID is usually written on a
sticker attached to the demarcation point. If you experience
problems with your line, you may need to provide the
circuit ID.
Write the circuit ID on the line below for future reference.
Circuit ID
After your line is installed, check the service before the
service technician leaves your site. Having the service
technician available to guarantee the service from the CO to
the demarcation point can help you isolate initial setup
problems.
