IF YOU REPLACE THE MAIN PCB ASSY
<What to do when replacing the main PCB ASSY>
- Rewriting the firmware (Panel firmware, Sub firmware, Main firmware)
- Initialization of EEPROM of main PCB ASSY (Maintenance mode: code 01)
- Setting by country (Maintenance mode: code 74)
- Setting the serial number
- Sensitivity adjustment of density sensor (Maintenance mode: code 72)
- Performing the developing bias voltage correction (Maintenance mode: code 83)
- Performing the adjustment of inter-color position alignment (Maintenance mode: code 66)
- Acquisition of white level data (Maintenance mode: code 55)
- Adjustment of touch panel (Maintenance mode: code 61) (Touch panel model only)
- Operational check of sensors (Maintenance mode: code 32)
<What you need to prepare>
(1) A USB cable
(2) A USB flash memory drive
(3) Computer (Windows® XP/2000 or later)
Create a temporary folder on the C drive, for example.
(4) The maintenance tool (brusbn.zip)
Copy it into the temporary folder that has been created in the C drive. Extract the copied
file and execute "brusbsn.exe" file by double-clicking it.
(5) The download utility (FILEDG32.EXE)
Copy it into the temporary folder that has been created in the C drive.
(6) The Brother maintenance USB printer driver (Maintenance_Driver.zip)
Copy it into the temporary folder that has been created in the C drive. Extract the copied
file.
(7) The firmware
* upd: Used to rewrite the firmware via a computer.

Since the counters are reset when the main PCB ASSY is replaced, the consumables and/
or periodical replacement parts might reach the end of the life before the message is
displayed.
