9.4.19  Travel of Head/Carriage Unit (for removing paper particles and dust accumulated on the 

maintenance unit) 

(Function code 75)

 

 Function 

This function is used to remove paper particles and dust accumulated between the maintenance unit 
and head/carriage unit. Using this function moves the head/carriage unit to the flushing position, 
allowing you to easily remove the paper particles and dust accumulated. 

 

 Operating 

Procedure 

(1)  Enter 7 and 5 in the initial stage of the maintenance mode using the  /  and 

OK

 keys. 

 

The head/carriage unit moves to the flushing position and the "PLS COVER OPEN" appears 
on the LCD. 

(2)  Open the scanner cover. 

 

The "PLS COVER CLOSE" appears on the LCD. Remove the paper particles and dust 
accumulated. 

(3)  Close the scanner cover. 

 

The head/carriage unit moves back to the home position. 

 

The machine returns to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
