To check each of the four ink cartridges, press the
Menu/Set

) key. Pressing the key cycles
through black, yellow, cyan, and magenta.

When a communications error code is displayed, pressing the

latest error, 2nd latest error, and 3rd latest error.

(1) Enter 8 and 0 in the initial stage of the maintenance mode by using the and
Set

The calendar clock appears on the LCD.
(2) Press the
Mono Start
key. Each time the key is pressed, one of the following log information
items appears on the LCD in the order given below.

14th) Ink drop count, indicating how many droplets have been jetted out from each of the ink
cartridges*

15th) Ink drop count after near-empty, indicating how many droplets have been jetted out from
each of the ink cartridges*

media card data
24th) Purge count, indicating how many times the purge operation has been carried out
With the purge count displayed, entering 2, 7, 8, and 3 by using the and
Set
keys
resets the purge count to zero.
25th) Purging record for each purge type
26th) Wiper count, indicating how many times the wiper operation has been carried out
27th) Flushing count, indicating how many times the flushing operation has been carried out
