1.4.15 Fine adjustment of scan start/end positions (Function code 54)
<Function>
This function allows you to adjust the scan start/end positions on the ADF and FB unit.
<Operating procedure>
(1) Press the
5
and
4
buttons in this order in the initial state of the maintenance mode.
The “SCAN START ADJ.” will appear on the LCD.
(2) The “
. ADF
. FB” will appear after two seconds.
Select one of them that you want to adjust the start position. If you want to adjust the start
position of the ADF, press
button, and if you want to adjust that of the FB unit,
press
button.
(3) Press the
1
or
2
button to display the present compensation level for the start position.
Compensation levels can be adjusted in 11 steps from +5 to –5 (mm).
(4) Press the
button to increase compensation levels, and the
button to lower them.
When the
Stop/Exit
button is pressed, the machine does not change the compensation
levels, and beeps for one second and returns to the initial state of the maintenance mode.
(5) Set the compensation level and press the
OK
button.
The “ACCEPTED” will appear on the LCD. One second later, the machine “
. ADF
. FB” will appear on the LCD.
(6) Press the
Stop/Exit
button when finish the adjustment. The machine beeps for one
second and returns to the initial state of the maintenance mode.
The correlation between the scan start/end positions and compensation levels is shown below.
