If you select the memory, the selected phrase file is written over the
current phrase library in the internal memory. You don't need to name
the file.
If you select the disk, the same filename as the original file appears on the
entry area with the cursor at the beginning. Type a new filename with up
to 8 characters.
[20] Press the
(Return) key.
Because you selected the memory at step 19, the typewriter asks you
whether you are going to write the phrase library over the current phrase
library in the internal memory.
Pressing the ESC key at this step cancels the copy function halfway.
If you selected the disk at step 19, the selected phrase file is copied with
the specified filename onto the same disk.
[21] Press the
(R eturn) key to load the selected phrase file into the
internal memoiy.
Another handy copy function is available. Follow these steps:
[22] Press the CURSOR keys to select the phrase file to be copied.
[23] Press the CODE + T E M P (Tem porary Memory) keys.
The selected phrase file is copied into the temporary memory as a phrase
library.
Now that you load the phrase file into the internal memory and in the
temporary memory, continue the following steps to go back to the PHRASE
EDIT screen:
[24]
Press the CODE + 0 (MEMORY) keys.
The PHRASE EDIT screen appears to show the current phrase library
with the cursor located on the first phrase text "A."
Once you load the phrase file, you can make use of it. Refer to the
preceding section "Using the Phrase Library."
[25] Press the PHRASE key to quit the phrase function.
Now the temporary memory has the phrase file copied from the disk. If it is
different from the current phrase library in the internal memory, you can write
the different phrase text(s) over the other one(s) in the internal memory to
create a new phrase library. Later you can copy it into the disk.
