CODE + FRAME
keys.
The message lamp indicates the F character with a period "F." and the
typewriter now allows you to draw a line.

Move the earner to the end o f the line by using the
(Return), {
(Index),
(Cursor Down),
or
CODE + J (Micro Index)
keys for a
vertical line; or the
SPACEBAR
or —>
(Cursor Left)
for a horizontal
line.

Press the
CODE + FRAME
keys.
The line is drawn and the message lamp then shows the current line
format number.

To draw additional lines, repeat steps 2 through 5.
Erasing Frames and Lines
Before you begin the following steps, be sure to select the TYPE mode.
Follow these steps to erase frames and lines:

Move the carrier to the starting point of the drawn frame or lines.
To move the carrier, use the carrier motion key such as CURSOR ( J ,,
, or —> ),
SPACEBAR, K— I (Backspace), — R (Tab), CODE

Move the carrier to the ending point of the drawn frame or lines.
If the frames or lines to delete are double-lines, press the double
underline key on the alphanumeric keyboard before going to the next step.

Press the CODE + FRA M E keys again.
The drawn frames and lines are erased.
