The outside frame and inside frames or inside vertical/horizontal lines can be
erased in the same way as described above.
Press the CODE +
CORRECTION keys and
CODE + FRAME keys at
the starting point of the
frame (line).
Press the CODE + FRAME
keys at the ending point.
Multi-column in the WP Mode
You sometimes need to type text side by side o r multiple columns o f text on
pages. You need to set the right and left margins for each column by
calculation. With the conventional typewriter, it is very difficult to
accomplish this kind of typing job because you cannot calculate the exact
column width. However on this typewriter, the very powerful multi-column
function is available. With this function, you can easily type up to 6 columns
of text or table. Note that this function is available only in the WP mode.
Before you begin the following steps, select the WP mode.
Follow these steps:

Open a new text file in the WP mode and select the 10-pitch with the
PITC H key for practice.

Press the CODE + COLUMN keys.
The display shows the entry area that allows you to enter the number of
columns.

Type the number of columns in the entry area of NUMBER OF
COLUMN.
For example, type the number 3 for three columns. The default number
for a new text file is 1 (one). The number ranges from 1 (single column)
to 6 (six columns).
REM EM BER...Y ou must provide 2 inches or more to each column, or the
multi-column function does not work. Make sure of the current margin
settings before typing the number o f columns.________________________

SPACE BET. COLUMNS for the number o f spaces between columns.
