Press the

SET key to set the position.
The PF IND position for the carrier stop location is now stored in the
selected page format memory. The
P IND
indicator on the —

(Tab)
key lights and shows that the typewriter enters the PF IND mode. It
goes off if you type any character.
If you now type the text at this step, it is indented along this position.
The carrier returns to this temporary left margin as you press the
(R eturn) key or the automatic carrier return function takes place. Every
time the carrier returns to the PF IND position, the P IND indicator
comes on. And it goes off if you type any character.

Repeat the previous steps 7 and 8 to set the PF IND positions for all of
the carrier stop locations on the form. Press the R— |
(Backspace)
key or
COD E + P IND keys to release the temporary left margin and proceed to
the next stop position.
All page format memories can retain up to 100 PF IND positions in total.
REMEMBER.
. .To clear and change a PF IND position, move the carrier to the
desired position by pressing the
PAGE
o r
CODE + PAGE
keys. Press the
CODE
+
PF CLR
keys to clear the stop. The
P IND
indicator goes out and the
PF IND mode is canceled. If you press the
CODE + PF CLR
keys and the
REPEAT
key, all PF IND positions arc cleared from the selected page format
memory. This clearance function is effective even if the carrier is not located at
