When it comes to uppercases and lowercases in the supplemental dictionary, the
typewriter looks up a word according to how you enter the word in the
supplemental dictionary:

X : The word form you typed cannot be compared
with the entry form.
As you can see in the above table, the recommended entry form takes full
lowercases. If you add a word in full lowercases (abc), the typewriter can look
up the word either as it is (abc), as with an initial capital only (Abc), or as in
full capitals (ABC). You don't need to add that word in three different forms.
Although you can add words into the supplemental dictionary in the Corrector
Mode, you can also add them on the SUPPLEMENTAL DICTIONARY screen.
Follow these steps to add a word on the SUPPLEMENTAL DICTIONARY
screen:
[1]
Select the WP mode and show the W P MAIN (MEMORY LIST) screen.
[2]
Move the cursor to *SUPPLE.DCT with the
CURSOR
keys and press the
{_l
(Return)
key.
The SUPPLEMENTAL DICTIONARY screen appears like this:
/ ! TYPE WORD AND PRESS'
’ OR PRESS 'INIT TO DELETE ALL
WORD: | __________________________/ DELETE
First, the delete mode is automatically selected.
[3]
Press the SPACEBAR to switch to the add mode.
