6ption Mode
This section contains a quick tour of the option (OPTION) mode. With some
optional devices and programs installed, you can get more out o f this
typew riter:
•Optional Computer Interface
•File Conversion Program, etc.
Selecting the Option Mode
When you turn on the power switch, the WP mode is automatically selected.
To switch to the OPTION mode, quit the WP or TYPE mode. Note that you
cannot enter the OPTION mode from the TYPE mode. The OPTION key is
effective only when you are on the WP MAIN screen.
To enter the OPTION mode:
•Press the COD E + O PTIO N keys to quit the WP or TYPE mode.
The menu of the internal memory appears like this:
Shows the available capacity of the internal memory or disk.

Option List: Shows the names of option programs.
Working in the Option Mode
With the OPTION mode selected, you can get more out of this typewriter.
When you enter the OPTION mode, the display first shows the option program
list o f the internal memory.
Follow these steps to master the basic techniques in the OPTION mode:

Press the CO D E +9 (D ISK ) keys to show the option program list of the
disk in the installed floppy disk drive.
If you want to run the program stored on the floppy disk, you need to
insert the desired disk into the optional floppy disk drive in advance.
Skip this step if your typewriter does not have the optional floppy disk
drive or if you want to run the program stored in the internal memory.
