Registering Your Distinctive Ring Pattern
If you are not sure which ring pattern you have call your telephone company.
Then assign your ring pattern in the steps below.

Set the FAX/MFC to MANUAL mode.

to select DISTINCTIVE: SET? and press

to select the prestored ring pattern you want to assign and press
Set
. (You will hear each pattern as you scroll through the four patterns.) Be sure
to choose the pattern assigned by the Telephone Company.

Stop
to exit.
Once you’ve registered the Distinctive Ring pattern in your FAX/MFC, you can
turn this feature on or off. To change the setting, follow Steps 1 to 4 above,
selecting ON (or OFF).
