Sleep Time
1
The Sleep Time setting can reduce power
consumption. When the machine is in Sleep
mode (Power Save mode) it acts as though it
is turned off. The machine will wake up and
start printing when it receives a print job.
You can choose how long the machine must
be idle before it goes into Sleep mode. The
timer will restart if any operation is carried out
on the machine, such as receiving a fax or a
print job. The factory setting is three minutes.
When the machine goes into Sleep mode, the
Touchscreen backlight turns off.

Deep Sleep mode
1
If the machine is in Sleep mode and does not
receive any jobs for a certain length of time,
the machine will go into Deep Sleep mode
automatically. Deep Sleep mode uses less
power than Sleep mode. The machine will
wake up when it receives a job or if you press
the Touchscreen.
When the machine is in Deep Sleep mode,
the Touchscreen backlight turns off and
blinks.
