HYDRAULIC PUMP
Drive belt adjustment.

Hydraulic oil pressure is generated by a pump that is
belt driven from the engine.
To access the Drive Belt and its adjustment mechanism
remove the right hand side Rear Panel.
To adjust the Drive Belt tension :
•
Loosen the lower lock nut ‘
A
’.
•
Tighten the adjuster nut ‘
B
’ until there is ¼ inch
deflection of the belt at point ‘
C
’, midway
between the engine and pump sheaves.
•
Tighten the lock nut ‘
A
’.
IMPORTANT
On a new machine check the Drive belt tension after
the first 20 hours of operation.
Then after every 100 hours of operation
Fit a new Drive Belt every 750 hours of operation, or
every 12 months.

To remove the Drive belt :
Loosen the lock nut ‘
A
’ sufficient to allow the Idler Pulley
to be pushed ‘up’ and the Drive Belt to be removed.
Fit the new Drive belt and adjust to the correct tension.
