1. Start engine and operate vehicle to
warm-up the gearbox oil.

E:: Running engine at idle is not
sufficient, vehicle transmission must
be operated.
2. Position vehicle on a level surface.
3. Place a drain pan under the gear-
box drain plug area.
4. Clean drain plug area.
5. Remove drain plug and sealing
washer. Discard sealing washer.

6. Remove oil level plug and O-ring.

Allow oil to completely flow
out of gearbox.

7. Clean drain plug, pay attention to
any debris present on drain plug.

E:: Presence of excessive debris
provides an indication of a gearbox
problem.
8. Reinstall drain plug with a NEW
sealing washer.
