REPAIR MANUAL
1.
Secure the rotor shaft with a suitable tool.
2.
Pull out solenoid housing.
3.
Pull the rotor shaft from the starter motor support.
4.
Unscrew the bracket for the positive contact.
5.
Press out the rubber grommet.
6.
Extract the positive contact by pulling it inwards through the plastic ring.
NOTE
If necessary, unscrew the rubber seal and the ground pole from the starter sup-
port and clean them.

ASSEMBLING OF ELECTRIC STARTER
Instructions
NOTE
The brushes must contact the slip ring correctly.
1.
Inspect the carbon brushes and replace if necessary with new parts (ROTAX® part no.
281262).
2.
Insert the plastic ring in the starter motor support so that it does not rotate.
3.
Insert the positive contact from inside through the plastic ring and the cutout in the starter
motor support.
