Troubleshooting Guidelines
TROUBLESHOOTING CHARTS
The following information is provided to help in diagnosing the probable source of simple trou-
bles. You may be able to solve many of these problems rather quickly, but others may require
the skills of a trained technician.
In such case, consult an authorized
Rotax
Jet Propulsion dealer for servicing.
BATTERY IS REGULARLY DISCHARGED
1. Check battery condition.
- Have the Battery charged or replaced by an authorized
Rotax
Jet Propulsion dealer.
2. Loose battery connections.
- Check/clean/tighten.
3. Check charging system fuse.
- Replace fuse if necessary and have charging system checked by an authorized
Rotax
Jet
Propulsion dealer.
WARNING
See your authorized
Rotax
Jet Propulsion marine engine dealer to have the battery
charged or replaced. Do not charge or boost the battery while installed in the
engine compartment. Electrolyte is poisonous and capable of causing severe
burns.
NO BEEPS ARE HEARD WHEN INSTALLING THE TETHER CORD ON ENGINE CUT-OFF
SWITCH
1. Main battery cut-off switch is turned OFF.
- Verify and turn ON.
2. Battery discharged.
- Have the battery charged or replaced by an authorized

shop, or person of your own choosing for maintenance, repair, or replacement..
ENGINE DOES NOT TURN OVER AND THE MONITORING BEEPER SOUNDS
1. Refer to MONITORING SYSTEM below.

ENGINE WILL NOT START
1. Tether cord removed.
- Install tether cord over engine cut-off switch.
2. Burnt fuse.
- Check fuse(s). See an authorized

Jet Propulsion dealer, repair shop, or person of
your own choosing for maintenance, repair, or replacement if problem is repetitive.
