Section 5
Electrical Systems
The AFT bilge pump is controlled by a three-position
rocker switch. The AUTO position supplies power to
the aft float switch so water is pumped anytime it is
detected.
In the OFF position, no power is supplied to the aft
bilge pump or the aft float switch.
The MANUAL position provides power directly to the
aft bilge pump. When the switch is in the MANUAL
position, the aft bilge pump will run even if there is no
water in the bilge.
The FORWARD bilge pump switch works like the AFT
bilge pump switch. Both bilge pumps discharge water
through thru-hull fittings.
See
Electrical Diagram
for wire color codes.
!
CAUTION
Keep the bilge pump switches in the AUTO
position anytime the bilge drain plug is in place,
whether the boat is in the water or on a trailer.
Leaving your boat unattended for long periods
of time with the bilge pump switches in the OFF
position can allow rainwater or melting snow to
accumulate in the bilge.
!
CAUTION
The bilge pumps will be damaged if they are run
continuously when no water is in the bilge.
