Ring delay and Security PIN
Ring delay is the number of times your BT Graphite 1500 rings
before the answering machine picks up calls and starts playing
the outgoing message to callers. You can choose between 2–9
rings, or Time Saver. The default setting is 6 rings.
Your 3-digit PIN lets you access your answering machine
remotely from another phone. For security reasons, it is
recommended that you change the PIN from the original
setting of 000.

Using the answering machine
What is Time Saver?
Time Saver can save you the cost of a
call when you want to ring in from
another phone to find out if you have
new messages (see ‘Remote access’,
page 36).
If you have new messages, your
answering machine answers after 2
rings. If you do not have new
messages, it answers after 6 rings. This
gives you a chance to hang up before
the line is connected.
