Operating Notes about the LEARN Function that can be activated from the Control
Environment
SMART KTF 2000 is able to self-learn and store the yarn consumption
(BTSR
Patent)
of the textile machine during a first sample cycle.
Therefore it will be sufficient to activate the
LEARN
function, run a sample cycle to
detect the amount of yarn used by the machine, and subsequently control that such
amount remains constant during the entire production process, stopping the
machine whenever a deviation exceeding the tolerance set by means of
TOL

parameter occurs.
In this way you may detect in advance i.e. prevent the situations that could lead to
undesired yarn breakages.
The “LEARN” operating mode depends on the selected application and on the
configured machine stop mode
(either immediate stop or stop at the end of cycle),
controlled through specific interface signals
(PRX – ZPX – RESET EXT).

Operating Procedures in case of Immediate Stop mode
1)
– From CONTROL environment perform the “LEARN” function – Length of
Absorbed Yarn (LFA).
2)
– At the end of the Learn phase the system switches to CONTROL mode and,
upon the PRX pulse it will compare the previously “Learnt” value with the
“currently detected” value.
3)
– If the difference between the “Learnt” LFA value and the “detected” LFA
value exceeds the tolerance, the machine will be stopped.
