This

Installation Guide

contains instructions about installing and configuring your NovaScale Blade

Ethernet Expansion Card in a NovaScale Blade SCSI Expansion Module.

The NovaScale Blade Ethernet Expansion Card has a dual-channel integrated Gigabit Ethernet
controller capable of connecting to 10/100/1000-Mbps networks through an Ethernet switch
module, or other supported I/O modules, on the NovaScale Blade Chassis unit. Communication
signals are routed from the NovaScale Blade Server through the I/O expansion connectors on the
expansion card to I/O-module bay 3 and bay 4 in the NovaScale Blade Chassis unit.

 NOTE

The modules in I/O-module bay 3 and bay 4 in the NovaScale Blade Chassis unit must both
be the same and must both be compatible with the expansion card.

The expansion card is available in two sizes; standard-form factor and small-form factor.
